The switches for his hallway light had been wired wrong for like 9 years

I find electricity fascinating and totally frightening.
One or more of the connections were mixed up. One of the switches had to be on for the other one to do anything.
Not that it matters, its just a style/convention, but both the “hot” and “load” were white wires lol.
