And then it evaporates, and then it precipitates, some of it into a reservoir, and then we drink it…

Yeah and that’s totally fair enough, but people who like using a command line and know the tools well rarely if ever have to type out long paths or commands. Tab completion and history suggestion (especially in a modern shell like fish or zsh) is a joy to use, and doesn’t just do file paths but command options and arguments. Man pages are very overwhelming at first, but if you’re practiced at scanning them, then it’s a lot more convenient to get the info right where you are than to navigate to another window. But the learning curve is steep and I get why someone wouldn’t want to bother.
watching this makes me think she’s probably gonna be the first female president of the usa

81·3 days agoNo obviously we’re also doing pretty badly these days, but we, uh, in general don’t have death squads on our streets, and that’s something.
Yeah, I agree it’s not a potato, just saying a 3080 is definitely not an issue for it
Factorio is usually CPU limited, it runs fine on my i9 with just integrated graphics and no discrete GPU at all.

This is the first time we’ve had a president that wasn’t at least trying to do the right thing by his people, no matter how misguided.

34·6 days agoNo, he won’t respond to any shame he feels except by doubling down. IMO It’s much more important for ordinary people in the us to know.
You’re totally right, but I think he knows that even if it’s not part of that specific quote. He’s done a fair bit of activism.

Or they both lie sometimes but not always and there’s no riddle at all. Since one of them is telling you this information and it’s not some objective setup for the riddle, there’s no reason to believe that it’s always.

3·9 days agoYou seem to know a lot about trains and snow. Tell me, how is it then that Sweden and Finland continue to have trains in the winter? Or Switzerland or upper Austria for that matter?

Did you even read my comment? I literally address that exact point only, within two short paragraphs. I don’t expect anyone’s behaviour to be perfect. A way of organising society which motivates and demands people to behave like this is what is evil and wrong.

That’s all well and good but the logical conclusion of that is that millennials and gen z especially would be strong. Which is what I think, but I’m pretty sure it’s not what they think.
