I assume many of you have already seen this news by now
It’s interesting to see Sir Keir explicitly asking someone to apologise for such comments. Maybe he thinks he needs to be more forthright about his values so that Labour will choose to keep him as their leader.
He keeps flip flopping on his values. One moment he’s really concerned about the immigrants so that reform voters will want to vote for him (which will never work). And the next moment he cares deeply about them so that previously Labour voters will want to vote for him (which also won’t work).
Ancient Romans kind of count as immigrants, in certain kind of way.

I cant help but adore the irony. The Brits had a voracious appetite for colonising other places. To get butt hurt about people from those colonies colonising the motherland is kinda comical.

Our own centre left Albanese govt in Australia won with a breathtaking majority, but seems to be squandering it by acting like conservative assholes. Ill be looking for more progressive alternatives next election for sure.

If he can keep Labour members of parliament happy then perhaps he can stay as prime minister. But he might lose his job if Labour do badly in the May local elections. Polling shows they might indeed do badly.
